What to expect

We offer strength training sessions which are specifically designed for people who are new to strength training and need some help around where to start.  If you already have some ideas about what you want to achieve, that’s great, if not we can help you get started with the basics and grow from there.

These sessions are also great if you want to join a gym but feel worried about not knowing where to start or whether you are fit enough to cope in that environment.  Again we can work with you to build some basic strength in the major muscle groups and build your confidence so you can then transition into a more mainstream gym facility.

While the natural ageing process includes some decline in muscle mass and strength, proactive measures can significantly mitigate these effects. Combining strength training, proper nutrition, regular physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices forms a robust strategy to maintain muscle health as you age.

These sessions are specifically designed to help get you started with strength training in a private setting.  Your specific situation and abilities are taken into account and we come up with a plan just for you.

We recommend a minimum of 6 sessions to get you started.

If you have an injury or chronic condition you may need to book an Initial Assessment first so we can do a full history and examination. This ensures we don’t make matters worse and helps us to have a better understanding of any difficulties or pain you may have, so we can build your sessions specifically to you.
