Sports Massage is used to decrease muscle pain and improve recovery. It can be sport specific, targeting muscles that are used in that sport, and can increase performance, physical conditioning and reduce recovery time. Massage can also be used pre and post event to help prepare the athlete and with recovery afterwards.
Massage can also be used to help deal with the strains of a modern lifestyle such as increased stress, sitting working at a desk or computer for long periods.

Side effects are usually minimal but you may experience some tenderness of the muscles for 24-48 hours afterwards.
