Have you been sidelined by an injury that’s now stopping you from doing the sport you love?

After a thorough assessment and getting a good understanding of what is going on we can devise a program of rehabilitation that will get you back to your sport as soon as possible.

We get you back to your level of ability, whatever that is, and by working towards ‘worse case scenarios’ aim to make sure you are fully prepared for the high levels of load required to play your sport.

We will give you a timeline of what to expect and how long it will take to reach the outcomes you set with us in your assessment.  If you know where you are going and when you expect to get there, we find things are a lot less stressful and we can concentrate on progressing you there as soon as possible.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is used to decrease muscle pain and improve recovery. It can be sport specific, targeting muscles that are used in that sport, and can increase performance, physical conditioning and reduce recovery time.  Massage can also be used pre and post event to help prepare the athlete and with recovery afterwards.
Massage can also be used to help deal with the strains of a modern lifestyle such as increased stress, sitting working at a desk or computer for long periods.

Benefits of massage include:

 
  • Increase joint range of movement
  • Increased flexibility
  • Decreased muscle tension/spasm
  • Aid better sleep
  • Increased sense of wellbeing
  • Decrease anxiety and improve mood
 
Side effects are usually minimal but you may experience some tenderness of the muscles for 24-48 hours afterwards.
If you are allergic to anything in massage oil please let your therapist know before the session.
